If you have searched for BILLY Footwear in the UAE, you have probably noticed that BILLY is not one shoe but a whole family of styles, each with its own name, zipper layout and look. That is useful once you know your way around, and confusing before you do. This guide explains the main style families we carry at FARID HUB, the zipper types, and the differences between the kids', men's and women's ranges, so you can narrow down the right pair before you open a single product page.
Everything below comes from our collection and product pages at the time of writing. Colours, widths, sizes and prices change, so always check the page for the exact pair.
The story behind BILLY and the FlipTop zipper
The idea at the heart of BILLY is simple. Our collection page describes BILLY as universal-design sneakers with a signature wrap-around FlipTop zipper, where the entire upper opens like a book so a foot, or an AFO brace, simply drops in. That single design decision changes how a shoe goes on: you place the foot, then zip it closed around the instep and ankle, and use laces to fine-tune.
Universal design means the shoe is made to look like any other sneaker while being easier for many people to use. We explore the thinking behind this in FlipTop Zippers and Everyday Independence. FARID HUB itself began with a parent's search for footwear that fits real lives and is built around the idea that style and accessibility should not be a trade-off.
Style families: Goat, Classic D|R II, CS, Limitless, Sport Inclusion, Comfort Luxe
Names matter, so here is what each one means.
Goat. The kids' Goat collection is described on its product pages as created in collaboration with certified orthotists for use with braces, orthotics and prosthetics. Listed features include a custom shape with added width and volume in the toe box, vamp, quarter and heel, two removable insoles, and a dense foam wedge insert. Most Goat styles use a short wrap zipper (the Goat Classic High uses a full wrap). Kids' widths listed: Wide and Extra Wide. Men's Goat styles come in D, 3E and 6E.
Classic D|R II. The kids' Classics collection is a high-top with a full wrap zipper, laces, a custom shape to accommodate braces, orthotics and prosthetics, and two 3mm removable insoles. Widths: Medium, Wide and Extra-Wide.
CS. The kids' CS collection has a skate-inspired high-top look with a full wrap zipper, padded ribbed collar and removable insoles. Widths: Medium and Wide. The men's CS High comes in D and 3E.
Limitless. The kids' Limitless collection is described as sensory-friendly, with a full wrap zipper plus laces, a lining designed to minimise pressure from fluctuating foot swelling, an extra-wide loop pull for people with limited dexterity, spacer insoles for depth and a sole engineered to cradle the heel. Product pages credit partnerships with Children's Specialized Hospital and the Center for Discovery, Innovation and Development.
Sport Inclusion. The kids' Sport Inclusion collection offers athletic-style sneakers with a breathable mesh upper, padded collar and tongue, and removable insoles. Several use the double zipper (DZ) layout.
Comfort Luxe. The men's comfort collection features leather low-tops that combine a dressier look with sneaker comfort, with adjustable laces and a sensory-friendly lining. A women's version is also available.
Zipper configurations at a glance
BILLY product pages name four layouts, and each style carries one of them. Here is the short version:
- Full Wrap. The zipper wraps fully around the shoe so the upper opens widely. Used on Classic D|R II, CS and Limitless pages.
- Short Wrap. A shorter wrap-around zipper, used on Goat and some Sport Inclusion styles, paired with laces.
- Double Zipper (DZ). Two zippers, as on the Sport Inclusion DZ1 styles.
- Straight Medial. A straight zipper along the inside of the shoe, as listed for Comfort Luxe.
The product pages we checked also list adjustable laces, so you can set the fit once and rely on the zipper day to day.
Kids vs men vs women ranges
Kids and toddlers. The widest range. Sizes start at EU 20 (US 5 Toddler) and go up to EU 39 on many styles. Widths vary by style, from Medium and Wide to Extra-Wide, and many styles come in glitter, splatter and bright colours as well as classic black and navy.
Men. Men's styles include Goat, Limitless, CS High and Comfort Luxe, with widths D, 3E and 6E on most. Most men's styles run from EU 40 (US 7) to EU 47 or 48, and the Goat Classic High also offers a narrow width starting at EU 37.
Women. A smaller range at present, including Limitless, Comfort Luxe and Sport Inclusion. Sizes run from EU 36 up to EU 41 or 42. Women's widths are B (medium), D (wide) and 3E (extra wide).
Note that the letter D means medium for men and wide for women.

Frequently asked questions
Is every BILLY shoe AFO-friendly? No. Look for the AFO-friendly tag and the product description. Goat and Classic D|R II are described as made for use with braces, while CS and the kids' Sport Inclusion styles are not tagged AFO-friendly. Ask us if you wear a brace.
What is the difference between Goat and Limitless? Goat is described as made with orthotists for use with braces and has a short wrap zipper; Limitless is described as sensory-friendly with a full wrap zipper and extra depth options. We compare them in a separate guide.
Does BILLY come in wide sizes? Many styles are offered in Wide, Extra-Wide and, for adults, 3E and 6E. The page for each pair lists what is available.
