BILLY Kids Shoes Compared: Classic D|R II vs CS High vs Sport Inclusion

BILLY Classic D|R II and BILLY CS High kids shoes side by side, BILLY kids shoes comparison

If you are choosing a pair of BILLY shoes for a child, three kids' styles make up much of the range: Classic D|R II, CS High and Sport Inclusion. They share the BILLY idea of a zipper that opens the shoe wide and adjustable laces for the final fit, but they look different, open differently and suit different days. This BILLY kids shoes comparison sets them side by side using what the product pages say, so you can narrow the choice before you open the collections.

Everything here is a snapshot from 26 October 2026. Colours, sizes, widths and prices change, so confirm the details on the page for the exact pair.

How the three styles differ (height, closure, look)

Classic D|R II High. The Classic D|R II collection is a high-top with a full wrap zipper and adjustable laces. The product pages describe a custom shape built to better accommodate braces, orthotics and prosthetics, and call it one of the brand's most AFO-friendly designs. It also lists two 3mm removable insoles for depth adjustability and a robust, triple-layer knit lining for durability. See, for example, the Navy BILLY Classic D|R II High.

CS High. The CS collection takes a "core-skate" look, a high-top with a full wrap zipper, adjustable laces and a padded, ribbed collar that is designed to provide comfort and support around the ankle without restricting movement. It also lists two 3mm removable insoles. Example: the Black to the Floor CS High. On the pages we checked, CS High is not tagged AFO-friendly, so if your child wears a brace, ask us before choosing it.

Sport Inclusion. The Sport Inclusion collection is made up of athletic-style sneakers with a breathable mesh upper and a padded collar and tongue. The Black to the Floor Sport Inclusion uses a short wrap zipper with adjustable laces and two 3mm removable insoles. The DZ1 styles use a double zipper and are filed as low-tops.

Which suits school vs play vs sport

These are starting points, not rules:

  • School: a classic colour such as Black to the Floor or Navy keeps things simple, and some schools have shoe rules, so check yours. Choose D|R II if the shoe also needs to fit over a brace.
  • Play and playground days: D|R II and CS both offer a high-top, padded or supportive feel around the ankle. CS suits kids who like the skate-inspired look.
  • Sport and PE: Sport Inclusion's mesh upper and padded collar suit active days, and the low-top DZ1 styles are a lighter-looking option. Check width and depth first if a brace is involved.

None of these are claims about performance or support for a particular condition. If you are unsure, ask your child's therapist or orthotist.
